When I am not reading, writing, pondering, or teaching, I am an enthused visitor of contemporary art museums (although I have strong opinions on curation), gardener, hiker, poetry reader, and watcher of films.For the last six years, I have taken a one-second video daily (or nearly daily). I am a trained birth and death doula. I grew up on a farm in Northern Wisconsin, but have spent most of my adult life in Philadelphia and New York City.
